It Helps Parents To Know Where They Stand

The initial meeting is for the parents only, so there is no judgment about the family. Each group should meet for an hour at least twice per week for at least four weeks, but no less than one hour. The parent(s) and child should not be separated for any reason. Any additional time spent outside of these meetings is included for the parent and child to continue their work together.
In addition to the meetings, there are several activities for both parents and their children to participate in. These activities are similar to those offered by regular life-coaching or parenting programs, but with some key differences.
Group Discussion For Parent And Child
One type of activity for the parent(s) involves the parent and child participating in group discussions about the parent’s goals for the child’s life. Another type of activity gives each parent an opportunity to discuss what they want for their child.
At the initial meeting, the parents and their children will be asked to list all of the goals they have agreed to. The goal-setting meetings will continue to occur on a regular basis.
